Well, we have made it to 30 weeks!!! Hopefully at least 6 more weeks before we meet our beautiful Abigail Faith!! I went to the doctor yesterday and I am measuring 3 weeks ahead! We go in on Tuesday for a growth scan to see just how big she is right now. We had a second 3D u/s at 28 weeks and got some better pics of her. I can't believe it's just right around the corner now!! I am starting to feel a little nervous about delivery now.....oh well, with an epidural I am sure it will be fine. I know I do NOT want another drug free delivery! LOL

She already stole our hearts

From the very first flicker of the heartbeat on the screen she captured our hearts. We are anxiously awaiting her arrival and cannot wait to hold her in our arms!!

Baby Abigails Nursery

It is still a work in progress, but it's coming along nicely! Her room is VERY, VERY girly!!

It's a......

GIRL!!!!! and she is already beautiful and growing quite nicely. She is getting very strong, actually hurting mommy sometimes with her kicks. She loves to hear the sound of her daddy's voice! We are starting the nursery this week. I am so excited to get everything ready for her!! I go in for bi-weekly cervical u/s. The first scan was showing some funneling (opening from the inside) and the second scan showed shortening of the cervix. My OB started me back on progesterone injections, but at least these are just once a week instead of everyday! I am also taking Procardia as needed for contractions. The last scan (27 weeks) showed an actual INCREASE in cervical length!!! GO BABY!

It worked!!!

On June 30 I got the positive home test....
And on July 7th, our 7th wedding anniversary we got the official positive blood test!!
Beta #1 442
Beta #2 3446

How this all began......

After 6 1/2 years of marriage, John and I finally see eye to eye on having more children. I have two boys from a previous marriage that John has raised as his own. Since I had a tubal ligation 10 years ago after my second child was born, conceiving a child wasn't going to be easy. We consulted with a fertility specialist who thought we would be great candidates for IVF (In-vitro fertilization) We went through the standard tests, including my pap smear. Unfortunately it came back bad and I underwent a coloposcopy and biopsy. The biopsy came back as CIN III (carcinoma in-situ or non-invasive cancer) I had surgery to remove the cancerous lesion.

Once I healed from the surgery we began our IVF cycle. It was daunting in the beginning, but John and I soon became pros!
